NFL WEEK 6 PICKS
Chicago -3 at Atlanta: Two of the biggest surprises of the NFL meet in Atlanta. Both the Bears and Falcons were terrible last year but sit at 3-2. The Falcons are at home where they are perfect this season. The key will be Michael Turner running the ball against Chicago's top 5 run defense. The Falcons possess the 9th ranked offense in the NFL and with Chicago playing back to back road games I will take the points with the high flying Falcons. Pick Falcons.
Jacksonville +3.5 at Denver: The Jaguars are really struggling after losing 4 starters from the offensive line. They are coming off an embarrassing loss at home to Pittsburgh. The Broncos have been explosive offensively but are going to be without 2 of their best weapons on offense with Eddie Royal and Tony Scheffler out. Last year the Jags walked into Denver and came out with an easy win and this could be the game that saves the season for the under performing Jaguars. Pick Jaguars.
Miami +3 at Houston: The Dolphins have been a huge surprise coming off back to back wins over the Patriots and Chargers who met in last years AFC Championship Game. The winless Texans found a way to blow a 17 point fourth quarter lead in about 4 minutes against the Colts. Houston should have Matt Shaub back behind center and for about 55 minutes the Texans showed last week they can be a competitive football team. At home the Texans should find a way to finish this game and pick up their first win of the season. Pick Houston.
St.Louis +13.5 at Washington: Teddy Covers brought up a great point on Drive This on Friday stating the last 11 double digit favorites are 0-11 ATS. The Rams are coming off the bye week and Jim Haslett will make his Rams coaching debut. The Redskins have reeled off 4 straight wins including back to back wins over the Cowboys and Eagles. I see this being a let down spot for the Redskins and while they probably win the Rams should be able to keep it close. Pick Rams.
