The Hardcore Footy Show gets American

With the MLS playoffs providing a boring start to the second season of soccer on our continent, we've taken it upon ourselves to add some excitement. Despite the tough economic times, we've splurged to fly in a big time guest. I won't be around Monday because of some previous commitments but I think I've recruited a pretty decent replacement to fill in for my absence.

Join James Sharman and Kristian Jack Monday on The Hardcore Footy Show as they welcome Travis Payne to our part of Hardcore Country. Yes, our favorite American correspondent Travis Payne will join the Brits in studio this week, and he was telling me on Saturday that he's been sacrificing hours of sleep to catch some quality Premier League action.

The guys will also get to some Serie A talk with John Molinaro from cbcsports.ca, and after an interesting week in Italy that saw Juve treat Roma like a Serie B opponent, and Inter buy a late win in Calabria against Reggina.

So catch James and KJ with Travis Payne, Monday at 12pm EST on The Hardcore Footy Show! And get in on the fun, email the show soccer@hardcoresportsradio.com or call the guys @ 1-888-9HARDCORE.

Travis Payne needs his own soccer show.  By the look of the weekly picks, Hardcore Country loves the beautiful game.  Make this happen!

Travis Payne is an interesting dude. That american accent of his is a little annoying at times, but he can't help being American. :-P Sadly, I have been rooked into working Monday yet again, so I'll have to catch this one on the podcast, but I will listen in when I can.

I'll agree with Ghetto that his accent is a bit annoying, but they all sound like that. It is the same way that all entertainment TV people sound the same. FSN has some pretty bad sounding broadcasters, but as long as they know their soccer than who cares right. I still haven't been able to find any of his stuff, is it TV or writing that he does mainly?

And what the hell happened in the MLS this weekend, I sucked at my picks this week and lost every bet I made!

Travis is hilarious! Is he a mock character or is this guy legit?

I think he would take offense to that comment Paul in Van City. He is as legit as Stephen Harper's government.
