The Morning Jones

Mon to Fri 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM ET

Broadcast live from North Carolina, The Morning Jones will feature in-depth analysis of the most pressing sports issues of the day as well as some of the most compelling live guests in sports radio.   It will be a destination for hardcore radio fans to get their morning sports fix and direct access to Bomani, his opinions, his analysis and his devotion to hardcore sports radio. The Morning Jones will be less like a formatted radio show and more of a two-way conversation with fans.  It will remove the barriers between broadcasters and listeners and help give a voice to North American sports fans – the true analysts of the sports world.

“At his core, Bomani Jones is like one of the many citizens of Hardcore Country – a devoted hardcore sports fan,” says Mike Gentile, Program Director, Hardcore Sports Radio.  “A popular radio personality, who has developed his style in the middle of the Duke/North Carolina rivalry, Bomani identifies on a personal level with both fans as well as athletes.  He is the perfect bridge between the stars of sports and the people who watch them…and talk about them…and we welcome him to our team.”

A Georgia native, who grew up in Texas and now resides in North Carolina, Bomani Jones is an accomplished on-air personality and a respected writer.  He is a contributor to ESPN.com’s Page 2 and previously hosted The Three Hour Lunch Break and Sports Saturday for the McClatchey Broadcasting Company, operator of numerous sports talk radio stations in the state of North Carolina.  Jones has also taught at Duke University, along with other leading institutions, and has a rich background in music and pop culture.

“I couldn't be happier about joining the team at Hardcore Sports Radio,” says Bomani Jones, Host, The Morning Jones.  “I'm looking forward to working with all of the creative people at The Score and building a new, fresh approach to sports talk radio as well as a relationship with HSR’s broad, diverse audience across North America.”
